Hell
Hell, fire and brimstone. Eternal punishment. How can these things belong with the idea that God loves us unconditionally? It’s one thing to say that God loves us and has a plan and purpose for our lives, but to suggest that those who reject that love will spend eternity in hell? Really?
Studies have shown that while the majority of North Americans believe that Heaven exists, very few believe in the reality of Hell. Even many Christians struggle with the idea of a place of eternal punishment.
