GodLoveSex

February 09

GodLoveSexWhether you’re married, single, or struggling in a relationship, we all have questions about God, Love, and Sex. Get real life answers for real life relationships.

We’ll be using the Old Testament book Song of Solomon as our text for this series. Did you know that book almost didn’t make it into the Bible? Many theologians of the day felt it was too descriptive. And as you read it, you’ll understand why they thought that way!

Join us as we talk about passion, sex, intimacy and love in this month long series.

Week One: The Promise | Week Two: The Pain | Week Three: The Pleasure

Week One: The Promise

We begin our series, GodLoveSex by asking some basic questions: what does God have to do with sex? Does God really care about our sexuality? Does the Bible offer any keys to greater sexual experiences? Does God have anything to say regarding our relationships and how we walk through the experience of falling in love?

Let’s face it, When you first fall in love with someone, you go through all kinds of emotions. The is such excitement for what the future holds. Sometimes, loving someone exceeds your expectations, sometimes the promises are never truly realized.

God’s love for us is equally full of passion and promise. And yet, his promise to us is unbreakable.

Week Two: The Pain

In part two of our series, we talk about the pain that we all experience when a relationship goes bad. Whether it is a marriage, a friendship, a parent/child, or any other type of relationship, when betrayal and failure happen, we can be hurt. The question is, what do we do with that hurt? Do we allow it to drive us? And, what word does Jesus say to us during our hurt that can be potentially the most offensive things he could say?

Week Three: The Pleasure

In the third, and final part of this series, we look at sexuality. Our culture is fascinated by sex, and yet the church seems silent on the subject. Does the Bible say anything about sexuality? Of course it does. So, what can we learn from Song of Solomon about passion, pleasure, and sexuality within the context of our relationships?
