Greed and Mercy

We’ve been talking about the two roads we can take: the road of self or the road of faith.” the choice is ours. Actually, there are seven choices that are ours on these two roads.

This week, we’ll look at greed. Now, greed is not the consumption of too much (that’s gluttony). Greed is the accumulation of more and more. Greed causes us to accumulate more even when those around us struggle with having nothing.

Contrast gees to mercy. Mercy recognizes that it’s not wrong to take something in as long as we are also giving something out. In fact, the more we give out, the more we can enjoy what we take in. It’s how we were created to live.
